Virginia Tech calls for submissions to International Archive of Women in Architecture prize

The International Archive of Women in Architecture at Virginia Tech is announcing the 10th annual Milka Bliznakov prize competition. Here is more information form the university:

The International Archive of Women in Architecture, in Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture and Design, invites architects, scholars, and researchers to honor the International Archive of Women in Architecture founder and Virginia Tech emerita faculty member Milka Bliznakov through their research on women in architecture and related design fields.

This research, in concert with the preservation efforts of the International Archive of Women in Architecture, helps fill the current void in historical knowledge about women’s professional achievements. The winner receives a $1,000 prize.

To apply to participate in the 10th Annual Milka Bliznakov Prize competition, applicants must register their proposal, outlining the research work they plan to complete within the coming year, by March 1, 2010. Register for the competition (http://spec.lib.vt.edu/IAWA/Bliznakov/Prize2010.html).
